AGOA.info will be providing updates on the annual AGOA Forum, to be hosted by Zambia at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka from June 7 to 10, in this news item. This is aside from regular new items appearing in the media in the weeks leading up to the event.

[Update 06-06-2011

The Official opening of meeting of Senior Officials takes place today, June 6, 2011 at 09:00 hours at the Mulungushi International Conference Center.

[Update 05-06-2011

The Africa Growth Opportunity Act (AGOA) Forum Secretariat has commenced the issuance of accreditation cards to delegates to the 10th AGOA forum. The process will run from 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs throughout the period of the forum. The forum will be officially graced by United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

All delegates are, therefore, advised to proceed to Taj Pamodzi Hotel, Club Lounge with proper identification documents.Only delegates appearing on the lists submitted to the Conference and Accreditation Sub-Committee of the Secretariat will be given accreditation cards.

[Update 05-04-2011]

The following information was sent to us by the US Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa

- The AGOA Forum will bring together over 800 participants, including senior U.S. government officials, African government ministers, as well as U.S. and African business and civil society stakeholders.

- In recent years, the U.S. government has been represented at the cabinet-level.

- The Secretary of State has not yet confirmed participation.
